Backend Engineering for College Students
A year-long program for college students: DSA end to end with interview preparation, PostgreSQL, Redis and MongoDB, Python and Django, AWS Solutions Architect with Docker and Kubernetes, system design with 50 guided designs, and AI with Agentic AI.
About this program
One structured path from the first line of code to a placement-ready backend engineer. You start with Python and DSA, build backends with Django on PostgreSQL, Redis and MongoDB, prepare for interviews, learn Docker, Kubernetes and AWS, and finish with system design, 70 concept chapters and 50 guided designs. You then add AI: prompt engineering, machine learning essentials, RAG and Agentic AI, so you can build and serve AI features on top of the backends you already know how to build. Every topic comes with live classes, reading materials, a guided lab, a quiz and flash cards, weekly assessments and assignments.
Who it is for
- College students who want to become backend engineers
- Students preparing for campus placements and off-campus interviews
- Beginners: no prior programming is needed, since we start with Python
- Students who want projects and cloud skills on their resume, not just marks
What you will be able to do
- Solve DSA problems end to end and perform in coding interviews
- Design and tune PostgreSQL schemas, and use Redis and MongoDB where they fit
- Build and deploy backends with Django and Django REST Framework
- Package apps with Docker and run them on Kubernetes
- Design secure, scalable solutions on AWS
- Design large systems step by step, from 50 guided designs and explain the trade-offs
- Build AI features with prompts, RAG and agents, and serve and evaluate them in production
What you get
- Live classesTaught live on a schedule, with time to ask questions as they come up. Every class is recorded, so a missed session is never lost.
- Reading materialsRunnable, chapter-by-chapter notes with real outputs, in the portal. Read at your own pace and come back to revise any time.
- Guided system designs50 step-by-step guided designs in the system design playground, on top of 70 chapters of concepts, so you practise the way interviews are asked.
- Topic-wise guided labsA step-by-step hands-on lab for every topic, with hints when you get stuck, so you learn by building and not just by watching.
- Chapter-wise quiz and flash cardsA short quiz after every chapter and spaced flash cards, so what you read actually sticks.
- Weekly assessmentsA short timed test every week on what was taught, scored on the portal, so gaps show up while there is still time to fix them.
- AssignmentsHands-on assignments to build and submit, with feedback, so you finish with real work to show.

What our students say
In their own words, from students of our live Parottasalna batches.
Concepts are explained in the simplest way to understand. Doubts are clearly explained on the spot until everyone understands the concept — very useful for preparing for interviews.
If you want to change your role with the current trend, he is the best — and you can learn in your mother tongue. I can now change my role and attend interviews confidently.
The way you teach things from absolute scratch and not from an abstraction level really made me understand a lot of technical topics with much more depth. “I am able to explain why and how things work and know how to do it” — that would be the takeaway from the sessions.
The hands-on examples and doubt-clearing sessions helped me understand how to apply these concepts in my own projects.
Clear explanation with simple examples and a practical approach to real-time issues. You can learn the basics very clearly and gain the confidence to be a developer.
I now have the confidence to crack system design interviews.
